The Hotel Hebrides is a modern hotel close to the ferry pier in Tarbert in Harris with delicious food in the Pierhouse Restaurant and Bar.  There are 21 bedrooms of varying types with a mini-bar and free Wi-fi internet access.

Langass Lodge is set out on its own in the countryside on the wild and beautiful island of North Uist, with menus prepared from locally sourced produce.  There are 11 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, some with magnificent views across the loch to the mountains.  5 more traditional ‘Lodge rooms’ are located in the original building and 6 larger ‘Hillside rooms’ are in the extension built in 2006 with high ceilings, sea views, king-size beds.  The staff at Langass Lodge work hard to make your stay an exceptional experience.  6 miles (10 km) south of Lochmaddy (about 10 minutes by car).

Orasay Inn is in quiet position at the north end of South Uist with 10 bedrooms, overlooking fields and near the coast.  It is centrally placed for exploring the Uists, Benbecula, Berneray & Eriskay (all linked by causeways).  The owners and staff provide a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere with an extensive menu in the restaurant.  After your meal you can sit back in the lounge and witness some of the most spectacular sunsets you may ever see.  If you feel a little more active the surrounding area is perfect for an evening stroll.

Polochar Inn, West Kilbride, by Lochboisdale, South Uist

The Polochar Inn stands on the water’s edge in a scenic location on the south-west tip of South Uist.  A perfect base for peaceful walks along the stunning beaches and taking in the views of  Eriskay and Barra.  11 en-suite bedrooms and residents lounge.  Free Wi-fi.  Dolphins are sometimes seen from the beer garden, playing in the sea in front of the hotel.  Dining room and bar meals available.  About 8 miles (12 km) (15 minutes by car) from Lochboisdale (via Daliburgh) and around 53 miles (85 km) to the Berneray ferry (about 1.5 hours by car).

The Castlebay Hotel in the small village of Castlebay sits on the hillside overlooking the pier, Kisimul Castle in the bay and the island of Vatarsay and is an ideal base for exploring the Isle of Barra.  The hotel has 12 en-suite rooms, some with hill views and some with sea views.  You can eat in the Castlebay Restaurant or the Cocktail Bar with varied menus featuring beef fillet, Barra lamb, local shellfish as well as vegetarian dishes.  This is a small, friendly hotel run with experienced staff.  It’s lovely watching the ferry arrive or depart from the island.

Heathbank Hotel, Northbay

The Heathbank Hotel was originally built as a mission house over 150 years ago.  It is located at Northbay in the north of Barra where you can watch the fishing boats arriving across the bay.  This is a small hotel with 5 en-suite rooms, a bright welcoming bar and restaurant, a reception area and a small dining area where breakfast is served, and an outdoor garden  Located in a pretty area only 15 minutes drive from Castlebay.  Locals often frequent the restaurant and bar, there are traditional music and random music sessions over the summer, and the bar closes at 11pm each evening to ensure guests have a peaceful sleep.
