7 nights self drive Outer Hebrides holiday itinerary:
Staying in B&Bs/guest houses:
There is an average price range from around £400 to £480 per person depending on choice of accommodation and room type (and availability), but an estimate using good quality B&Bs and nice rooms is around £440 – £480 per person (with an optional additional supplement at 1 or 2 guest houses for a larger superior room or for a 5 star guest house for example).
Staying in hotels:
There is an average price range from around £590 to £680 per person depending on choice of accommodation and room type (and availability), with an estimate using a mix of superior/sea view rooms and standard rooms for example of around £625, up to £680 per person for larger rooms.
We are happy to book a mix of guest houses/B&Bs and hotels, or adjust bookings to suit your preferences in terms of length of stay, room types, location, etc. Let us know if you prefer a double bed or twin beds.
Most guest houses offer bed & breakfast only but there are hotels or restaurants nearby or a short drive away for evening meals. There are a few guest houses that offer an evening meal, with advance notice. If you wish to stay in a guest house which provides an evening meal please let us know at the time of booking.
We can also book hotel and guest house accommodation in and around Ullapool and Oban, and in other areas, should you need it before or after your ferry. Let us know which islands you would like to visit and we’ll be happy to offer suggestions and a quote, and make sure you get your preferred holiday dates and choice of accommodation booked up.
The Isle of Skye can be visited after Lewis/Harris by sailing from Tarbert (Harris) to Uig (Skye) (instead of taking the Leverburgh-Berneray ferry). You can then return to the Outer Hebrides by taking the ferry from Uig across to Lochmaddy (North Uist) and continue as above.
We also have a lovely selection of hotels, guest houses/B&Bs and self catering cottages/lodges across the whole of Scotland, including castle style hotels, country house hotels, smaller family run guest houses/B&Bs and city centre hotels, and can book car rental if needed (manual & automatics available).
Please let us know what you have in mind and we look forward to helping you plan your holiday.
