These Norwegian style semi-detached wooden chalets are situated in Orkney between Houton and Stromness in Orphir. Located on a waterfront property on 20 acres of unspoilt land with stunning panoramic views of Scapa Flow and the Island of Hoy.
Each wooden chalet has a stone entrance porch with panoramic views of the hills of Hoy and the Lighthouse on Graemsay and Stromness.
Each has 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom with zip and link beds (can be either twin or double).
There is also a bed settee in the lounge which will sleep 1 extra adult or 2 small children. The bathroom has a bath and overhead shower.
There is a well-equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher and living areas with spectacular views to Scapa Flow. TV with Freeview channels.
All on one level and with ramped access, wide doors and lowered light switches, they are also perfect for those with mobility difficulties.
Each chalet has a patio with picnic table and there is also a play area to keep the children amused.
There is ample private parking and access to the shore is a short walk.
Electricity, bed linen and towels are included in the rental.
No smoking or pets allowed in these properties.
Bookable on a weekly basis only (Saturday to Saturday).
The ferry to the famous Hoy Islands leaves from Houton Pier just 10 minutes from Buxa Farm Chalets.
There are many other small islands that can be visited on a day trip and plenty of archaeological sites to explore and nature reserves to visit. Orkney is also home to 2 whisky distilleries, Scapa Distillery and Highland Park Distillery.
