We can arrange an individual holiday for you (with a rental car or your own car if travelling from the UK/Europe) tailor made to suit your own preferences and requirements, including booking the ferry sailings for you to and from Shetland.

We have a choice of friendly hotels and nice guest houses/B&Bs we can book of a good 3-4 stars standard that we work with on a regular basis and receive excellent feedback from our other guests.

FERRIES

We can book the ferries which leave Aberdeen each day either at 5pm (sailing via Orkney) or at 7pm (direct to Shetland), both arrive in Lerwick (Shetland) the following morning at 07.30am.

Cabins can be booked for the overnight sailings as well as ‘sleeping pods’ and reclining seats.

Ferries leave Shetland from Lerwick each evening at either 5.30pm (sailing via Orkney) or at 7pm (direct to Aberdeen), both arrive in Aberdeen the following morning at 07.00am.

Dinner and breakfast are available (pay on board).

There are also ferry connections between Shetland and Orkney for those visiting both island groups (with onward ferry connections from Orkney to the mainland).

There is a discount for passengers that are over 60 years of age so if you qualify then please let us know.

CAR RENTAL

Car rental is available in Shetland at the airport at Sumburgh (south end of the main island) and at the ferry terminal in Lerwick which we can book to suit flights or ferry arrivals.

FLIGHTS

Flights to Shetland (Sumburgh LSI) and Orkney (Kirkwall KOI) usually fly from/connect via Glasgow/Edinburgh/Aberdeen/Inverness, operated by Loganair, as well as flights between Shetland & Orkney (and inter-island Orkney flights), and return flights from both Shetland and Orkney back to the mainland, with onward connections.

We do not book flights, but we can book accommodation and car rental to suit your flight arrangements (after checking availability we can provisionally book accommodation before you book flights, in case you have to make any changes).
